Crandall Park has four free dedicated outdoor hard courts with permanent lines and nets. All four are lighted, and summer play can continue until 10 p.m. Water fountains, seating, parking, and nearby park amenities make this the city's best outdoor venue. Courts are first come, first served.

Family YMCA of the Glens Falls Area

Pickleball Lessons in Glens Falls

The Adirondack Pickleball Club offers learn-to-play classes at Jenkinsville Park. New players benefit from using the same eight-court venue where Monday pickup games meet, making the move from instruction into regular group play straightforward.

The YMCA runs skill-based league sessions that serve as guided match play. Advanced players meet Tuesdays and Thursdays from 7 to 9:30 a.m.; beginner and intermediate players meet the same days from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Independent instruction is also available through the Coaches section.

Leagues and Tournaments

The YMCA's current league cycle separates advanced players from beginners and intermediates. League fees are $50 with a family membership, $60 for individual members, and $80 for nonmembers.

The Cabin Fever Tournament is scheduled for February 21 and 22, 2026, at the Glens Falls YMCA. Outdoors, the sixth annual Chuck Allen Memorial Tournament returns to Jenkinsville Park; registration is $35 for one event or $45 for two, with July 18 as the entry deadline and August 1 and 2 reserved as rain dates.

Visitor Tips

Crandall Park and the YMCA sit next to each other on Glen Street, creating an unusually convenient outdoor-indoor pairing. Use Crandall for free daylight or evening play and the YMCA for a reserved morning session when rain or cold moves games inside.

Jenkinsville is worth the short drive north when finding partners matters: Monday pickup play from 5 to 7 p.m. requires no registration, and eight courts support more level-based rotations. Crandall Park is carry-in, carry-out, so take bottles and ball containers with you when leaving.
